| Name - Greg Rector Email - greg.rector@sbcglobal.net Date - Tuesday, 23 December 2008 I grew up in Nevada and at All Saint's church. Father Foland was there at the time in the earlier years and I will always remember his kind personality. The book club was in a small building at the rear of the property along with the Sunday School classrooms. Also, there were some rooms used in the old Rectory to the east of the church. Later on, I was married in the church and had the reception in that old Rectory. Those two buildings have been replaced with a newer addition to the church. In my school years, I served as an acolyte on Sundays till I went away to school. |

| I have devoured the
Anglican Digest from cover to cover for over 25 years. I always find it
refreshing to read an unbiased, biblical, theologically correct and
easy to understand approach to the faith. I don't have to fear
diatribes from angry Anglicans about issues, mostly unimportant little
stuff- the personal preferences of incense over no incense type that
occupy the minds of the theologically shallow. However, I miss the
short complements and quick barbs: Makes the heart glad, Makes the
heart sad, A tip of the biretta to..., etc., that used to find an
occasional place in your pages. They were brief and to the point, said
what was needed, and then life went on. Please bring them back. The
Anglican Digest is still the one sane witness we have, and those brief
notes were food for thought without the politics of the beltway. Keep
up the good work. Faithfully, David |
