HILLSPEAKING
from
The Anglican Digest
TRANSFIGURATION,  A.D. 2001

WHAT is Hillspeak?

Three hundred acres of prime Ozark hills and "hollers"?

Distribution point for a bi-monthly magazine, a quarterly book club, and a unique, one-of-a-kind program that gives away used books?

Home of a research library for scholars of the Church and a catalog bookstore which eschews "best sellers"?

Site of a seventy-five year old dairy barn and its clone?

A chapel that is open for prayer around the clock and around the calendar, and a cemetery where anybody who has had any positive connection with Hillspeak can be buried at no cost for the grave site?

A cluster of homes and guesthouses?

An eons old hill called Grindstone Mountain?

A panoramic view that extends across hill and dale into two towns and the next state?

It is all of these and yet more than the sum of these:  It is a bastion of the "faith once delivered" and a touchstone; a state of mind.
